118,433 Square Feet

Cleveland, Ohio

Consultant

DVA Architecture worked as consultants to NBBJ, to designed a new $29 million building for the College of Education and Human Services that brought together eight different departments previously scattered throughout the campus. A glass curtain exterior wall, glass fiber-reinforced concrete and terra cotta screen create a welcoming environment. Gardens and plaza spaces connect the building with the current campus, and the building is accessible by three main entrances for its three key users: campus residents, commuter students, and the surrounding community. It also features state-of-the-art voice, data and video technology. The 115,000 square-foot building was awarded LEED Gold certification.
