Cleveland Waterfront Redevelopment Plan

Working in partnership with EE&K a Perkins Eastman company of New York, VAA collaborated with the Department of Port Control of the City of Cleveland and numerous agencies and stakeholders to develop a vision plan for the Cleveland waterfront. The waterfront consists of approximately 100 acres at the mouth of the Cuyahoga River and represents the best opportunity for the city to develop a true urban waterfront, connected to the downtown and transit nodes, leveraging existing destinations including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Great Lakes Science Museum, and the Browns Stadium. The vision plan proposed development sites and open spaces, featuring a walkable, human-scaled configuration designed for an optimum relationship to prevailing winds, sun, the lake, views and connections. By building on previous investments, the project will be phased over many years, with each phase building on the success and value of the previous one.
